Flavored Coffee at Home April 16, 2009

I ran out of coffee grounds this morning and I had to resort to instant coffee. It’s not that I dislike the instant stuff but I just love the smell and the boldness of brewed coffee more.

While I sipping the hot and caffeine filled coffee, I got my milk from the fridge and poured some on my cup. I normally love my coffee black as tar but the milk was a perfect addition. It was indeed a simple and fuss-free cafe latte. As I drained my cup, I scoured my cupboards as to what I can add to my coffee later. I saw a can of Nestle Quik and thought about its taste when I will finally add it to my brew.

Now I am sipping my mocha flavoured coffee. A tablespoon of Quik with my usual black coffee is wonderfully tasty. I just love it! With these simple discoveries, I might not drop by Starbucks or Seattle’s Best anymore for my daily caffeine fix. I could just make them at home and save hundreds of dollars every month.

Of course, black brewed coffee will always be my favourites. But whenever I would want a sweeter alternative, a small tip of fresh milk or Quik will truly excite my tastebuds.
