My Beloved Snacks April 16, 2009

I always see to it that I eat three square meals everyday. But there are just those times between meals that you feel hungry but not quite or you just want to munch on something to keep your energy level up.

When I am at work, I always keep a stash of peanuts, granola and energy bars, licorice and crackers. These great snacks help keep hunger at bay during those long busy days. My snack stash keeps me on my toes when I get so busy at work that I have to skip lunch just to make a certain deadline.

At home, I make sure that my snacks are healthier and natural. That’s why I munch on fresh fruits like strawberries, watermelon, apples and oranges whenever I get the munchies attack. I also see to it that I drink lots of water and fruit juices to keep me hydrated.

On dragging rainy days, I love to snack on peanut butter crackers with jelly, lightly salted popcorn and flavoured yogurt. I make sure that I have these snacks handy while watching my favourite movie or just cuddling in bed with my favourite book.

It doesn’t matter what your beloved snacks are, Snacks should be taken in moderation. It should not ruin your appetite for meals or your body figure.
